A six-run second inning led the Cubs to a 9-1 victory on Friday. The offensive onslaught came from singles by Jase Alvarez and Andrew Bartlome, by Damon Skradski, and a fielder's choice by Cohen Hartman.
Dillon got on the board in the first inning. Skradski grounded out, scoring one run.
The Cubs scored six runs in the second inning. Alvarez, Hartman, Skradski, and Bartlome each had RBIs in the big inning.
Tyler Lagunas was the winning pitcher for the Cubs. The righty allowed three hits and one run over four innings, striking out four. Skradski threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
McKay Shobe took the loss for Lewistown Redbirds "A". The righty allowed three hits and two runs over three innings, striking out five and walking one.
