HELENA, Mont. – After heading back to Montana this week, the Bulldogs found success while competing at the Fighting Saints Open this afternoon.
Results
Malia Cox finished in fifth overall in the women's 100m dash, recording a time of 13.64. She also competed in the women's 200m race, finishing in ninth with a time of 28.62. Cox rounded out her day with a fifth-place finish in the women's long jump, finishing with a mark of 4.74m.
Olivia Heiner took home a first-place finish in the women's 800m race, finishing the race in a time of 2:27.68.
Maddie Yakos and Justene Santi competed in the women's 1500m race, finishing in fifth and eighth respectively. Yakos recorded a 5:29.76 while Santi finished with a time of 5:39.48. Santi also competed in the women's 400m hurdles, placing fifth overall with a time of 1:19.27.
On the men's side this afternoon, Brody Henry had a successful meet finishing in fourth in the men's 800m after recording a time of 2:05.29. Kaden Hennessey also competed in the race, finishing in ninth overall with a time of 2:14.67.
Henry and Hennessey paired up to race in the men's 1500m as well, finishing in eighth and ninth in the race.
Layne Cooney threw an 11.60m in the men's shot put to take 12th on the day. Tad Tackes finished up in 16th in the shot put after throwing a mark of 10.62m.
Cooney, Tackes and Carson Bain also competed in the men's discus throw. Cooney recorded a mark of 42.79m to place fourth overall. Tackes finished up in 16th with a mark of 31.49m.

The Bulldogs return to the track this upcoming week in Missoula at the University of Montana. The event will begin on April 19 at Dornblaser Field in Missoula, Mont. Schedule of events will be released later this week.
